ABOUT YOGA AT HBC

The Harbor Bay Club offers a diverse list of yoga classes taught by experienced instructors. Vinyasa, Iyengar, and Gentle Stretch are a few examples of classes that target individuals with different needs. With regular Yoga practice participants may experience positive changes in their fitness and overall health. Yoga has been shown to provide the following benefits:

Increased flexibility and improved posture
Increased muscle strength and tone
Less stress and a calmer mindset

Hatha Flow

Hatha Flow

Hatha is defined as the physical postures people know today as yoga. Nearly every type of yoga class taught in the West is hatha yoga.
Fundamentals of Yoga

Fundamentals of Yoga

Fundamentals of Yoga will give those new to Yoga an understanding of basic principles and vocabulary of Yoga.
Sunrise Yoga

Sunrise Yoga

Greet the morning with warm-ups, standing poses, twists, backbends, and breathwork to align the body and mind for the coming day!
Iyengar Yoga

Yoga Alignment

Yoga Alignment is a slower paced class that emphasizes the development of strength, stamina, flexibility and balance, as well as concentration and meditation.
Vinyasa Flow

Vinyasa Flow

Vinyasa Flow offers a modern spin off of the traditional practice of Ashtanga Yoga. Vinyasa teachers choreograph their classes to smoothly transition from pose to pose, encouraging students to “move with their breath.”
Yoga for a Healthy Back

Yoga For a Healthy Back

This class will increase flexibility, range of motion, and build core strength. The goal of the class is to achieve balance between body and mind with postures and breath.
