Membership Rules and Regulations

A. MEMBERSHIP CONDITIONS

  1. Membership is open to families, couples, and individuals (with a responsible credit background) without regard to race, sex, ethnic background, or religion. All Applications for membership are subject to approval by the Club.
  2. The nature of the membership allows the member to use the exercise equipment and facilities of the Club and have general access to all areas of the club during the Club’s operating hours.
  3. Although the Club does not intend to modify the classes, equipment, services, or amenities currently offered to members or guests, it expressly reserves the right to do so. Any such modifications, including the temporary closure of amenities for maintenance or the closure of the Club for the safety of all, shall not entitle members or guests to terminate the Agreement or to any credit or refund for the period during which the services or amenities are unavailable.
  4. Memberships are non-voting, non-proprietary, and non-transferable. Membership does not carry with it any interest in the property or assets of the Club, nor the right to participate in the management of the Club.
  5. The membership is non-transferable and cannot be cancelled without the notice required in this agreement unless one of the following exceptions apply: (a) death of the member; (b) confirmation by a physician of a disability of the member making use of the facility impractical; or (c) relocation to residence more than 25 miles from the facility. All exceptions must provide proof.
  6. Initiation fee/Enrollment Fee are nonrefundable to members.
  7. Primary member is responsible for all individuals within the membership.

B. GENERAL RULES

  1. Member must present membership card or QR-Code to access facilities.

C. MEMBERSHIP CLASSES

  1. Individual Membership: An individual membership shall be granted to only one person.
  2. Couple Membership: A couple membership shall consist of an individual and spouse or two individuals living in the same household with verification of residence required.
  3. Family Membership: A family membership shall consist of an individual and/or spouse, and dependent children ages six to twenty-one (or 25 years of age with proof of full-time enrollment in school), living with parents.
  4. A Family or Couple Membership may add an adult to their membership if the person is employed by the family and resides at the same residence or is an immediate relative living at the same residence, subject to a fee and additional dues.
  5. Corporate Memberships are subject to individual class Rules and Regulations and where applicable, Couples and Families.
  6. Senior Membership: Senior membership rules shall be the same as outlined in the individual membership and couples’ membership, with the same stipulation that the member must be 60 years of age or older. Additionally, Club usage is restricted to M-F from 5:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Weekends have no restrictions.

D. MEMBERSHIP PROCEDURES

  1. Change of Status: A written or email request for a change of status must be submitted for approval. Upgrades require payment of the difference in dues. Downgrades result in reduced dues and take effect on the first of the month.
  2. Hold: A member must submit a written or email request to have the membership placed on hold. If granted, any outstanding balance must be paid. A monthly hold fee will be charged. While on hold, members are subject to non-member pricing for services.
  3. Cancellations: Members must provide a written or emailed 30-day notice to cancel their membership. All outstanding balances must be paid in full for the cancellation to be honored. Cancellation requests must be submitted directly to the Membership Department or emailed. The Service Desk does not accept cancellations.
  4. If signed a 12-month agreement, an early cancellation penalty will apply. Cancellation of 12-month agreement in the first 6 months will result in a $295 cancellation fee. After 6 months, cancellation fee will be $150.00.
  5. Suspension/Terminations: The club reserves the right to terminate or suspend the privileges and/or membership of any member for failure to comply with any Club rules. Also, for any conduct the Club is determined to be improper or detrimental to the Club. If an action is proposed against a member, he/she shall be given notice and an opportunity to discuss the proposed action with a representative of the Club. The determination regarding the action will ultimately be made by the Club.

F. JUNIOR ACCESS POLICY

  1. Children under the age of 14 are not allowed to use weights or strength equipment. This can lead to strain on young muscles, tendons and areas of cartilage that have not yet turned to bone.
  2. Children under the age of 14 are prohibited from taking any classes as they are designed for adults.
  3. Children ages 11-13 may use cardio equipment next to a supervising adult member.
  4. Children ages 14-17 may use the strength machines and weights next to a supervising adult member.
  5. Children under 14 are not allowed to use indoor steam room, jacuzzi, sauna, and steam room or take group exercise classes.
  6. An adult over 18 must accompany children under 14 years old in the outdoor hot tub and at the pool at all times.
  7. Children under the age of 14 are prohibited from using the Fitness Center Locker Rooms after 7:00 PM Monday – Friday.
  8. Children under the age of 14 must be supervised in the Fitness Center Locker Rooms Monday – Friday from 5:00 am – 7:00 pm and Saturday and Sundays from 8:00 am – 8:00 pm.
  9. The outdoor Junior Locker Rooms are available for children and for families that need to assist children of the opposite sex.
  10. Children 4 and older must use the same sex locker rooms when using the Fitness Center Locker Rooms.
  11. Children under the age of 18 are not permitted to bring in guests.

G. ACCOUNTING INFORMATION CHARGES

  1. Only the primary to the Membership may make changes to the membership status.
  2. Any changes in the charge authorization must be submitted in writing or email.
  3. Mastercard, Visa, Discover and American Express are accepted.

I. STATEMENTS

  1. Monthly dues will be billed electronically on the 10th of each month for the current month’s dues. All changes to account will be included in billing.
  2. Any member who chooses to opt out of autopay will be charged a manual billing fee up to $15.00/month.
  3. Payments not received by the 10th will be charged a late fee of $25.00.
  4. Any questions regarding statements should be emailed.

J. DELINQUENT ACCOUNTS

  1. If an account is over 30 days delinquent, the membership will be terminated.
  2. Accounts for 60 days’ delinquent are subject to collections.
  3. Accounts will be charged a fee for any returned checks.
  4. Terminated members will be responsible for paying their outstanding charges.
  5. Terminated members due to delinquent payment who wish to return must settle any outstanding balances with the membership and also pay an Initiation fee.
