FITNESS CENTER GUIDELINES

Make your experience at the Harbor Bay Club more enjoyable

To make your experience at Harbor Bay Club more enjoyable for yourself and others, we kindly ask that you follow these guidelines.

  • Proper workout clothing and closed-toed, rubber-soled shoes must be worn.
    • Sports bras must be full-coverage styles, such as racerback, scoop-neck, or cami-style designs.
  • Drink containers with lids are allowed in the fitness center, but no food.
  • Use equipment wipes or towels & spray to wipe off machines before and after use.
  • During peak times and when others are waiting, please limit your time on cardiovascular equipment to 30 minutes.
  • Allow other members to “work in” between sets on the strength equipment.
  • Re-rack weights after use and return all equipment to it’s proper place.
  • Use muscular control to lower weights. The floating wood floors, under the rubber, can crack from dropped weights. Do not slam or drop weights, including machines and free weights.
  • No talking on cell phone inside the Fitness Center and Locker Rooms. Please talk on the phone outside.
  • The use of cell phones is not permitted in bathrooms, locker rooms, or other similar private areas, including the sauna, steam room, and shower areas, except in the case of an emergency (e.g., calling for medical assistance). Landline phones located in the locker rooms are also available for contacting the Service Desk or dialing 911.
  • No filming on Club Property. Use headphones or earbuds for listening.
  • The Fitness Center is Fragrance Free.

  • Children 11-13 may use cardio equipment next to a supervising adult member.
