T’ai Chi Chih is a short form of an ancient Chi Gung art. T’ai Chi Chih is a physical meditation, in which students learn 20 slow, sustained, soft movements. Practice of these circular motions strongly stimulate the Chi, or vital force of the body. Regular practice can improve balance and body alignment, create relaxed breathing, and reduce stress and tension. Class begins in the Sky Studio, with the first 30 minutes focusing on instructions on form and technique. The second half of class, weather permitting, is held outside and is a silent, meditative practice. This class is suitable for all and is comprised of beginning and intermediate/ongoing students.
